Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Production Expeditor who plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and components throughout the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for monitoring production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and expediting the movement of goods to minimize delays and ensure product delivery on time.

Job Accountabilities:
- Monitor and track production to ensure timely completion and meeting of milestones, including final shipments.
- Coordinate with the program office, procurement, engineering, quality, materials, production, and shipping teams to mitigate or eliminate program stoppages.
- Expedite critical path programs and schedules and identify and raise awareness of potential risk(s) to program schedules.
- Ensure that materials and supplies are available when needed by working closely with inventory management and suppliers.
- Liaise with the purchasing department to expedite the delivery of critical parts or materials.
- Monitor inventory levels, including materials needing recertification, to avoid disruptions in the production line.
- Establish production outlook using master schedules to determine firing orders.
- Work closely with production supervisors to resource program/schedule needs.
- Communicate regularly with production supervisors to resolve issues or delays.
- Provide accurate and concise weekly updates across all programs to Master Scheduler.
- Assist in identifying bottlenecks in the production process and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Proactively identify potential delays and communicate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Resolve discrepancies between inventory, production schedules, and shipments.
- Handle any last-minute changes in schedules, customer orders, or supply chain challenges.
- Update stakeholders on the status of critical orders and materials.
- Work with management and team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Suggest and participate in lean manufacturing or cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specifications:
Education: Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.
Years’ Experience: Entry level-1 year of relevant experience required
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory management principles.
- Ability to apply systematic disciplined and analytical approach to decision making.
