Administrative Services Specialist

 

Overview

We are hiring an Administrative Services Specialist to support the Robotics & Electromechanical Systems (REMS) division’s administrative needs. This is a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to enter the professional workforce and acquire valuable organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player that understand the requirements for working on both small and large teams, a continuous self-learner that stays up to date with technology trends, and an efficient communicator.

 

You will need the ability to multi-task in support of a high-visibility and high workload office. You will interact with senior leadership, requiring a high degree of professionalism. You must be able to take initiative proactively and address administrative issues. You will need general administrative and office experience, with general office computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists division leads with administrative responsibilities
  • Perform standard administrative duties that may involve creating, tracking, and reporting the status of purchase orders, schedules, plans, contracts, and database files
  • Assist and/or lead the organizing and scheduling of meetings and division-level functions; maintaining of calendars for one or more managers/division leads
  • Assist & track locations of lab equipment and government-owned property within the division
  • Performs other administrative duties as needed/assigned

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Organizational, problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and flexible, able to move from one task to another as priorities change
  • BS or BA degree

 

Location

  • Rockville MD
  • This role requires you to be local to the area; there is the potential for this to be a hybrid work schedule role (but not 100% remote)
