Description

SUMMARY

Assists the Sales team to maintain a productive workflow, with an emphasis on creating and delivering a great customer experience. Provide client relationship support by interacting directly with clients when needed. Support the Purchasing department as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • -     Takes phone orders, verifies prices, availability and delivery dates.

    -     Enters orders in the system, as needed

    -     Maintains sales personnel informed of pending or unconcluded business in there are/of responsibility.

    -     Maintains sales force informed of credit risks.

    -     Types/Drafts correspondence as needed.

    -     Routes calls to appropriate official and places outgoing calls.

    -     Greets visitors.

    -     Order supplies and support the purchasing department as needed.

    -     Compiles and types statistical reports.

    -     Informs customers of paying terms according to company policy.

    -     Follows up with customers on promised payment schedules.

    -     Send status of account to customers over credit limit and closely monitors past due accounts.

    -     Maintains up to date aging.

    -     E-Mail, Faxes, Correspondence to Sales Staff when traveling.

    -     Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondences. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Follows prescribed standards or guidelines. May use tools/equipment/apply technical skills involving some judgment. Work is supervised and subject to check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing normal duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities in accordance to legal requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
