What You'll Do
As **Acme Operator **at our Avon Lake facility, you’ll play a key role in our manufacturing process by operating multi-spindle lathe-type screw machines to produce precision components. This role requires mechanical precision, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle automatic screw machines to manufacture parts to specification. Inspect coolant, oil level and air pressure before operating the machine.
• Effectively use shop packages to include, but not limited to, manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts and quality alerts.
• To ensure that only gages and tools that are used are within calibration dates.
• To operate multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing.
• Produces product to establish quality standards and notify your direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found.
• Perform quality checks per Inspection Record & documents.
• Request raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
• Follow safe working practices and notify any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed. Replaces worn tools and operates bench grinder to sharpen tools.
• Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees.
What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and measuring
instruments.
• Commitment to product quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate records.
• A proactive approach and flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant machining
experience.
