Acme Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator

Position: Screw Machine Operator

Experience Required: 3+ years

We are seeking an experienced Screw Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience operating screw machines and a strong commitment to producing quality parts safely and efficiently. We are willing to train Candidates who have operated Davenport, New Britain, Wickman, Greenlee or similar Screw Machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate screw machines according to production specifications and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and identify equipment issues.
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively with the production and quality teams to meet production requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of screw machine operating experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  Shift Schedule

Location: Loves Park Illinois

Pay: $24 to $27 per hour

Schedule: 6 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with opportunities for overtime.
