Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing daily cash receipts and invoices, and handling credit applications. Maintains accurate financial records, including sales tax exemption certificates, while resolving billing discrepancies and coordinating collections activities. Responds to customer inquiries regarding account status and collaboration with Customer Service to resolve payment issues. Requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication abilities for effectively managing accounts receivable operations.
Reporting Relationships:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Location: This position will be based in Hialeah, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily posting of cash receipts to customer account or to customer orders.
- Process invoices daily.
- Process customer credit applications.
- Assist with collections.
- Enters debits/credits, resolves billing/payment discrepancies, and works with Customer Service Department for resolution.
- Maintain customer sales tax exemption certificates in our system.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding account status and payments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- written and verbal.
- Ability to use independent judgement with a high level of initiative.
- Other duties as assigned.
