Job Overview:


  • Supervise team of accounts payable clerks
  • Code and process bills on a daily basis
  • Review vendor statements regularly
  • Audit and review reports, journal entries and processed bills generated within department
  • Prepare month end accrual/checklist, along with creating and posting journal entries
  • Review and approve expense reports and process for payment ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Assist with yearend audit requests


  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, or minimum of five years relevant experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Thorough understanding of AP three way matching process
  • Experience with SAP software
  • Excellent organization skills and communication skills
  • Must be comfortable in both a manufacturing and corporate environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of AP experience
  • No travel is required
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.


Directly supervises all employees assigned to the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance.



Ability to read and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional journals, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company. 



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value. 


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 



Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel as well as accounting software)

Proficient knowledge and application of accounting principles

Quality standards – both ISO and QS
