Job Overview:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Communicate with officers and satellite location managers concerning financial statements and provide detail for review
  • Review current internal controls at both satellite and corporate level and implement approved procedures to correct any deficiencies
  • Oversee the annual financial statement audit with external auditors
  • Assure that corporate income, sales, withholding tax, property tax and other governmental returns and reports are filed on a timely basis
  • Assure that all tax payments are made to the proper taxing authority on a timely basis.
  • Review and maintain the fixed assets ledger and perform physical inventories of assets on an annual basis
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to trial balance on a monthly basis, investigate any differences and make corrections
  • Assist with preparation of annual operating and capital budget
  • Analyze variances between the Actual vs. Budget amounts on a monthly basis
  • Know payroll preparation process, including direct deposits, tax deposits, and tax forms, insurance, deductions, etc.
  • Perform A/P and A/R processes
  • Detailed understanding of the credit management process
  • Strong understanding of inventory management: inventory turns, days in inventory, obsolete inventory, and surplus inventory

  • Ability to self-manage, show initiative and solve problems
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Strong MS office skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all general and advanced accounting procedures

 

Physical Demands:

  •  Must be able to remain in stationary position 80% 
  • Frequently, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. 
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management to exchange accurate information in these situations Constantly working in office environment

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be able to quickly receive and analyze financial information
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative
