Job Overview:

Trautman & Shreve, Inc. (T&S) is a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. Trautman & Shreve is a full service mechanical contractor serving the Rocky Mountain region. T&S designs, builds, commissions and services mechanical systems, including heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and piping systems for private and public sector clients, including commercial, institutional, high tech, industrial, public assembly, and healthcare.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices in the accounting system (Viewpoint Vista)
• Ensure that invoices are accurately coded, processed timely, and entered for the period in the system
• Process lien waivers for subcontractor invoices
• Collect and maintain all W-9 forms for vendors and subcontractors
• Enter job cost budgets into accounting system
• Prepare and perform weekly and incidental check runs
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure accuracy in the invoice approval and posting process
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with vendors and internal customers
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments Assist with month-end closing
• Maintain reconciliations and file Sales & Use tax on a monthly basis
• Provide supporting documentation for internal audits
• Assist Controller with bank reconciliations
• Track cash disbursements and run related reports
• Tracking and timely processing vendor purchase discounts
• Close PO commitments as needed by PM’s
• Manage tax exemption certificates
• Maintain EM Vehicle records and scan documents as needed
• Enter project budgets as needed
• Project setup and closeout processes
• Manage customer statements and reconcile on a monthly basis
• Gather and organize company credit cards, reconcile and summarize for posting monthly
• Develop and implement process improvements as needed
• Maintain documentation of AP Procedures and cross-train departmentally
• Monitor transactions and bring incongruous transactions to the attention on CFO or CEO
• Assist with associated departmental tasks as needed, such as payroll, benefits administration and vacation time reconciliation

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of five years of AP experience
• Construction experience preferred
• Experience with sales and use taxes required
• Computer skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; proficient with Windows and Accounting software systems. Viewpoint experience a plus.

Typical salary range for this position is $27/hour to $32/hour, and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

Other Compensation:  position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
