Accounts Payable Coordinator

Basic Scope/Purpose: (The job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)

The Accounts Payable Coordinator provides support to the Accounting Department by ensuring vendors are paid accurately and in accordance with Fenner’s policies and internal controls. Other duties as required that contribute to the development of the accounting function.

Principal Accountabilities: (The job’s essential or most important functions and responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

• Verify approval on all invoices and check request
• Coding invoices
• Familiar with foreign currency and in-house wire system
• Prepare and process checks for multi companies
• Audits and verifies expenses reports
• Reconciles vendor statements
• Process and follow-up on rush items
• Maintains account payable files
• 1099 preparation
• Sales & Use tax review and Submission
• VAT review and submission
• Provides general administrative support by logging onto the “phone loop” as assigned
• Demonstrates willingness to work flexible and overtime hours, as needed to ensure successful completion of duties
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
• Special projects as assigned
• Maintain and Promote Fenner Drives Values and Behaviors at all times.

• Learn and follow EHS policies, rules and work instructions
• Attend required EHS training
• Wear the required PPE at all times
• Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself and your co-workers and visitors free from injury by participating in and/or conducting risk assessments, work place inspections, corrective actions and safety observations
• Report incidents, near miss, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and other hazards in the work place. STOP WORK when imminent danger is present
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion and keep equipment in proper working condition.

The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator develops procedures and best practices in order to provide support to the Accounting Department and ensures vendors are paid accurately and in accordance with Fenner’s policies and internal controls. This role provides leadership and guidance to Accounts Payable Coordinators in order to maintain best practices.

Education and/or Relative Experience: (The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)(Also show level of education needed for Career Progression)

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Two-five years bookkeeping/accounting/administrative experience required
• Computer proficiency including Word and Excel (intermediate skills required) with the ability to develop advanced spreadsheet skills
• Some bookkeeping/accounting post-high school education preferred
