Job Overview:

Accounting Specialist - Open to Colorado or Ohio, Remote/Hybrid

Trimble is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Specialist to manage and coordinate accounting efforts for the Architecture and Design division. The right candidate has a proven track record of success in maintaining accurate records, streamlining administrative processes and working with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve common goals. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager for the Architecture and Design division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post receipts, create purchase orders, route invoices for approval and other standard bookkeeping tasks

  • Track P.O. amounts, remaining amount to be billed, invoices received and reconciled to forecast

  • Provide corporate purchasing card support

  • Establish and maintain vendor accounts such as archiving contracts, tracking statements of work and assisting with software licensing administration

  • Manage weekly headcount reporting and reconciliation to forecast

  • Assist with department wide projects to improve process efficiency and add value

  • Prepare, present and coordinate with Divisional leadership on a recurring basis


  • 2-3 years of experience in a comparable accounting role

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Bachelors or a pursuit of higher education. Additional experience in lieu of either.

  • Experience with Oracle or similar financial software

  • Advanced skill with Excel and Google Sheets

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback

  • Effectively presents and explains information to various group sizes and levels of knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and drive cross-functional teams to meet common goals is essential

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgment

  • Identifies and resolves problems promptly and gathers and analyzes information skillfully

  • Well-organized, self-directed team player. Remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits a willingness to try new things

  • Agility to deal with frequent change, manages competing demand, or unexpected events

  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in interactions with co-workers, customers, vendors, and others
