We are hiring an Account Manager. The Account Manager will be responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting to Fujifilm headquarters monthly and quarterly. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements while compliant with U.S. GAAP. This position maintains tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation (internal and external) and other related activities.

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting (DIVA/UNITE) and general ledger structure in SAP
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information (DIVA/UNITE)
  • Ensure the monthly all bank activities are recorded in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with outstanding communication skills with other accounting department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Fulfill business partner responsibilities with all other department managers
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
  • Responds to inquiries from the Chief Administration Officer (CAO) and Controller, regarding financial matters, special reporting requests and the like
  • Work with the Controller to deliver a clean and timely year-end audit (internal and external)
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Handle personnel issues relating to performance issues
  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
  • Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
  • Ensuring sales tax and VAT/TVA returns are timely filed and the records backing up those returns are accurate to support the returns in the event of an audit by government agencies
  • Managing audits by governmental bodies for sales tax and TVA/VAT 

Experience/ Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or higher
  • Equivalent of 7 years of experience in a similar setting
  • Supervisory experience
  • SAP experience preferred or other large ERP system experience
  • An in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and a capacity for independent thought and judgment
  • Must have computer skills, including the use of Excel spreadsheets and MSWord and Outlook
  • Must be able to maintain a general ledger within a large ERP system
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
