Job Summary
Solar Turbines is seeking a Manager Accounting to lead financial and business partnership support for operations at its Channelview, Texas and Wamego, Kansas facilities, and provide finance leadership for strategic growth investments supporting new equipment production. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader who wants to be challenged in a business-facing role that directly impacts manufacturing strategy, execution and business performance. This position will lead a business resources team supporting several operations organizations, and will closely partner with the Packaging Operations and Construction Services/TurboFab directors and leadership groups.

Responsibilities

  • Leading financial support for assigned operations groups and locations, including financial planning & analysis; budgeting; inventory management; business acumen development; promoting cost and efficiency performance; and completing other analyses as required
  • Partnering with operations leaders across the Solar O&G organization to develop and execute investment plans in response to business conditions
  • Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff, and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems.


Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in financial support of manufacturing operations preferred

Additional Details:

  • 15%-25% travel is expected.
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
