This position reports to our Corporate Finance Supervisor within our Corporate Finance Department.  While our role is an entry-level position providing support to our Finance Supervisor and Senior Accountant, there is visibility to our Executive Team.   The position is responsible for general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers and account reconciliations.  Our Accountant must have the ability to organize and analyze financial documents and accounts and assist with budgets, audits, and monthly closings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record recurring journal entries on a monthly basis and monitors those accounts balances
  • Reconcile corporate accrual and prepaid accounts on a monthly basis
  • Record and reconcile daily cash transactions in each bank account. Prepare Daily Cash Position report
  • Maintain schedule of lease and rental expenses and monitors these expenses for year-end auditing and financial reporting; Maintain asset and depreciation records for additions and changes
  • Assist in corporate budgeting and annual audits
  • Review and reconcile monthly sales and use tax filings for accuracy before payment released
  • Review and reconcile property tax returns for accuracy before filing
  • Audit expense reports for compliance to company policy
  • Other tasks as assigned


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G.A.A.P.)
  • 1-3 years of work experience in General Ledger Accounting and working with Financial Statements 
  • Proficient with MS Office software, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Access
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Display capability for handling multiple tasks and adjusting well to changing conditions
  • Must be capable of communicating effectively, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization
