About the Opportunity

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Analyst to join a leading manufacturing organization supporting a Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division in Devens, MA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis who enjoys partnering with operations to drive business performance.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records.
  • Perform standard cost accounting, cost analysis, and operational financial reporting.
  • Analyze the impact of manufacturing operations on the Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and operations teams to improve profitability and financial performance.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, compliance, and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Conduct financial analysis involving depreciation, working capital, investments, and operational expenses.
  • Recommend process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in financial system implementations, automation projects, and reporting enhancements.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Excel, Macros, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects while providing financial guidance to business leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in General Accounting and Cost Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Experience with standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with internal controls, compliance, and financial audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Macros, Power BI, or financial reporting automation is highly preferred.
  • Experience using ERP or automated accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support operational decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or Aerospace industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience improving financial processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
