Summary:

The Global Supply Chain team works closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customers dynamic needs. The Account Specialist is the suppliers main point on contact to ensure they meet our quality and performance standards.

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment. The candidate should be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives.

This position will support the Small Machined Parts commodity within MSEN and requires outstanding problem-solving skills the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many PW functional groups; Quality, Engineering, Materials, Aftermarket, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers across the value stream as well as sub-tier vendors.

Responsibilities:

The Account Specialist is responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships, including delivery and quality performance, cost and inventory management, and customer satisfaction.

Oversee purchase order execution and product delivery, ensuring placement of on-time schedule agreements, billing adjustments, terminations mitigation cost reduction goals execution.

As an Account Specialist, you'll be responsible to ensure GWSs quotation, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, placement of schedule agreements are completed timely in compliance with all appropriate regulations procedures.

Responsible for tracking Critical Parts, including the identification of any part shortages by engine module to ensure that the production schedule is met.

Drive delivery plans and customer committed actions to completion.

Comply with all aspects of the PW Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, Transition Standard Work (TSW).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

    prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

  • Experience in materials or supply chain management in the aerospace industry

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work in a global supply chain

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs – specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Proven communication skills are a must.

  • Strong follow-through and project management skills

  • Experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports.

  • Strong customer focus experience with a focus on business results

  • The ability to work as self-starter with flexible roles and responsibilities

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government contracts

What is my role type?

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
