Hexcel is currently seeking an Account Representative for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA, location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Requesting and assembling information provided by various departments to support requests for quote, requests for pricing, and entry of purchase orders from customers
- Coordinating lead-time / availability with production planning, verifying product specifications and approval for manufacture and sale of material(s), adhering to contractual agreements, and ensuring appropriate pricing based on contracts, historical rates, or through confirmation with the Product Manager (PM)
- Maintaining electronic files for purchase order activities per Customer Service procedures. Ensuring any sales and/or business updates are communicated through PM/Demand Analyst. Following up with customers on quotations and forecast requirements and supply feedback to management in a timely manner
- Adhering to International Trade Compliance (ITC)/Legal obligations, including completion of Export Screening Checklist, maintenance of electronic documentation supporting quotation and orders, and document retention requirements. Verifying Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) are in place for materials being quoted and/or sold internationally, including placing requests for ECCNs for new part numbers
- Providing a direct line of support for customer(s), as the key point of contact for the customer/supplier relationship. Interacting with appropriate departments on behalf of the customer and driving changes to customer orders. Communicating shipment delays to customer(s) and adjusting orders as needed
- Supplying new/potential customers with Hexcel required documents to establish an account with Hexcel and liaising with the Credit Department for evaluation of payment terms. Reviewing status of customer credit and working with the Credit Department to ensure any credit issues are resolved prior to order entry/acceptance
- Liaising with Quality Assurance (QA) to communicate specification updates which affect customer orders to the customer(s) and update orders accordingly. Requesting configuration of new part numbers through QA/Engineering, with support of the Product Manager. Maintaining status of claims for customers, to ensure that actions are being taken, and communicate material return requirements and status of claim, and provide copies of credit notes to the customer(s), as appropriate
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- One or more years related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and communicate customer and internal specifications, orders, and customer requirements
- Excel in a cross functional team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office Proficiency - specifically in Word and Excel
- Prior MRP/ERP experience is preferred
