Job Overview:

The Account Manager is responsible for initiating significant sales activity in the Northern California territory, which will impact the achievement of Bob Barker Company sales goals and provide for growth and development of the customer’s business. This position is characterized by a sustained record of sales achievement and complete understanding of the organization’s policies, products, and/or services.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate customer focused promotional planning and general sales activities designed to achieve sales targets.
  • Travel in your region to support sales efforts up to 70% of the job; the balance is accomplished via daily outbound phone calls and emails.
  • Conduct customer visits to grow sales per company guidelines.
  • Promote and sell company products through direct customer contacts within assigned territory.
  • Learn and be able to sell BBC’s product line including features and benefits (existing and new products); distribution of new Bob Barker Company items in assigned accounts.
  • Develop account forecasts for overall volume planning, along with new item selling activities within appropriate lead times.
  • Execute promotion planning and sales activities directed toward mutually profitable business growth with assigned accounts.
  • Work with Pricing, Sales Operations, and Customer Service teams to accomplish business goals.
  • Provide Pricing team with required information to price and win business.
  • Negotiate pricing and quoting autonomy in time sensitive situations.
  • Initiate and maintain communications designed to support account trends and highlight business opportunities within accounts.
  • Identifies prospective customers, establishes customer needs, understanding of industry, completes sale of products/services, and complies information on competitive products.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals including sales and margin targets.
  • Grow existing customer base while establishing and developing new customers.
  • Provide through proper channels voice of the customer insight on market, products, and opportunities.
  • Performs administrative tasks related to overall account management including:
    • Clearing backorders
    • Order processing and exceptions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least two years of direct sales experience executing strategic sales plan goals.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar CRM preferred.
  • Proven success executing strategic sales plan objectives
  • Motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time. Overnight travel is required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Presentation and PowerPoint skills.
