We are hiring an Account Manager Northwest. The Account Manager Northwest will be responsible for generating sales and achieving forecast, developing new accounts, managing exiting customers, and developing promotional activities to achieve profitable growth in the assigned territory: Northwest US and Canada.



External US


  • Creating and executing a comprehensive territory plan to meet or exceed sales quota within specified region
  • Building customer relationships by maintaining existing customers base while proactively identifying and advancing new customers
  • Follow up on customer requests and needs for additional information, production suggestions, and facilitating resolution of customer issues
  • Understanding and creating an active sales funnel while effectively advancing opportunities through the entire sales process
  • Generate and qualify sales leads for existing customer base as well as focusing on new incremental business
  • Qualify, develop, and close prospects according to overall strategic plan
  • Accurate territory forecasting, managing growth within the region and reduction of potential churn
  • Providing feedback to the internal commercial organization on changes in the market as well as competitive intelligence. Provide feedback on “customer needs” for new and future products
  • Develop promotional activities within the region to drive revenue growth
  • Working within corporate expense guidelines
  • Assisting in training of new personnel
  • Participating in tradeshows, conferences, and marketing efforts

Experience/ Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S in a Life Science)
  • 2-3 years of Account Management experience within the Life Sciences or equivalent
  • Experience in selling into the Drug Discovery market desired
  • Proven sales track record of success within current and previous roles
  • Must be able to travel up to 40%
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills
  • Self-motivated and goals oriented
  • Customer focused
  • Established customer network
  • Ability to work independently but also as a team member across differential departments and functions
  • Intermediate to high level of sales & marketing techniques in a technical selling environment
  • Experience in using a CRM such as SFDC and proficient in Microsoft Office
