Key Responsibilities
• Develop, grow, and manage refinery accounts—expanding relationships beyond commodity chemistry into specialty applications and value-added solutions.
• Identify, pursue, and win new customers through proven sales, marketing, and relationship-building practices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to refinery customers by diagnosing operational challenges, presenting customized solutions, and leveraging Thatcher’s broad product portfolio and resources.
• Represent Thatcher Company with professionalism and integrity, demonstrating expert knowledge of our products and the advantages we bring to our refinery customers.
• Collaborate internally to uncover and expand opportunities for supplier partnerships, technical innovation, and customer value creation.
Qualifications
• Proven track record of high sales performance, preferably in refinery chemical sales.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate refinery applications.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing new business.
• Self-starter who thrives in an independent, performance-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel to refinery sites and customer locations.
• AA/BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background checks and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
