**Account Executive / Senior Account Executive

**

**Travel & Tourism Public Relations

**

“We’re not looking for someone to fill a seat. We’re looking for someone to fill a room.”

Anchor Staffing is partnering with a boutique travel and tourism PR agency representing hotels, resorts, destinations, and other brands across the travel and tourism space.

This agency pairs a deep understanding of the business of travel with fresh, creative PR thinking. They aren’t interested in doing something simply because it has always been done that way. Their approach is centered around finding the story, uncovering the opportunity, and identifying smarter ways to create meaningful results for their clients.

They are selective about the clients they take on, intentional about the work they produce, and serious about building lasting relationships.

We’re searching for a strong Account Executive (AE) or Senior Account Executive (SAE) who brings that same level of ownership, creativity, and commitment to their work.

**Why This Opportunity?

**

**A focused account load.

** Portfolios are intentionally kept manageable so the team can do excellent work rather than being spread across 10–12 accounts.
**Real ownership and a voice.

** Your ideas, instincts, and recommendations are expected to shape the work.
**Creative, non-cookie-cutter PR.

** This team wants people who can find the story, challenge the obvious approach, and make ideas happen.
**Experiential travel.

** Depending on your accounts, you may host press trips, media experiences, and destination events.
**A collaborative environment.

** Team members share opportunities, support one another, and celebrate each other’s wins.
**Room to grow.

** You’ll receive direct feedback, strategic guidance, and opportunities to build toward greater account and strategic ownership.

**The Opportunity

**

This is a

**hands-on PR role

** for someone who can manage client relationships and strategy while still doing the actual PR work.

This is not a position centered primarily around oversight or management. The right person wants to pitch, write, create, present, travel, solve problems, and move client work forward.

We are open to hiring at the AE or SAE level based on experience, judgment, and level of account ownership.

**Key Areas of Responsibility

**

Own day-to-day client relationships and keep accounts, deadlines, and deliverables moving
Develop and execute PR strategies and campaigns tied to client business goals
Find compelling stories, fresh angles, and creative ways to make clients newsworthy
Build genuine relationships with journalists, editors, creators, and other media contacts
Write and edit pitches, press materials, talking points, presentations, and client communications
Actively pitch and pursue meaningful media opportunities
Bring proactive recommendations and new ideas to clients and the internal team
Prepare for and participate in client meetings, brainstorming sessions, presentations, and strategic planning
Travel for press trips, media events, and client experiences while continuing to keep accounts moving
Take feedback, apply it quickly, and follow through from idea to execution and results

**We’re Seeking a Candidate With

**

Several years of professional PR experience with direct client and account ownership
Hands-on strength in media relations, pitching, writing, story development, and PR strategy
Experience managing multiple accounts and communicating directly with clients
Agency experience strongly preferred
Travel, tourism, hospitality, hotel, resort, destination, or closely related experience highly valued
Strong media relationship-building skills — not simply a contact list
Excellent writing, communication, presentation, organization, and judgment
The ability to think beyond a checklist, challenge the obvious approach, and turn a client goal into a compelling story or activation
Confidence, resilience, creativity, strong people skills, and a high level of personal accountability
The ability to receive direct feedback, apply it, and keep moving forward

The people who thrive on this team have high expectations of themselves. They are curious, confident, resourceful, collaborative, and willing to roll up their sleeves. They can keep multiple plates spinning without losing quality and want to work alongside other people who care deeply about doing excellent work.

**Hybrid Work Schedule:

**

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office (9:00 AM–5:30 PM)
Tuesday and Friday work from home
Summer Fridays: Office closes at 2:00 PM between June 21 and Labor Day weekend

Travel is an important part of the role and is primarily experiential, including press trips, media events, and time on-site with hotel, resort, and destination clients.

Frequency varies by account but typically averages approximately once every 4–6 weeks for around three nights at a time. Because client work continues while traveling, the right person will be comfortable staying responsive and keeping multiple accounts moving while on the road.

**Compensation & Benefits

**

**New Business Commission:

** Employees are eligible to receive 10% of monthly retainer fees on new business they generate for the duration of the client contract while employed by the agency.
**Health Insurance:

** 50% company-paid; company pays 100% after three years
**Vision & Dental:

** Optional; company pays 100% after one year
**401(k):
