Job Purpose

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating leads, developing, and nurturing customer relationships, driving new business, and establishing SageNet as a trusted service provider.  Key vertical of engagement includes QSR (quick service restaurant), retail and fuel center/convenience.  Relationships will need to be developed with customers and prospects specifically with leaders in technology (Manager/Director Level, CIO, CTO), marketing (Manager/Director Level, CMO) and store operations (Manager/Director Level). 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops new business by analyzing account potential, both current customer and new prospects; initiating, developing, and closing sales.
  • Identifies additional revenue potential in accounts by studying current business; engaging with key customer and company personnel who have worked with the customer; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities.
  • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
  • Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
  • Acting as the client’s representative in a firm to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.
  • Collecting and analyzing data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs.
  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations; seeking and completing relevant vendor training around related hardware and software solutions.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a concentration in business administration, engineering or technology
  • Industry experience a plus – technology and hardware sales preferred
  • 1-3+ years sales experience exceeding quotas
  • Stable employment history
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Able to explain basic technical topics in simple terms, and think quickly and react to client questions  
  • Self-motivated personality, with the ability to handle multiple tasks with limited direction  
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Must be adaptable, professional, courteous, motivated and work well on their own or as a member of a team  
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload

Working Conditions

  • This job operates in a professional office environment
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and phones
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend work required as job duties demand
  • Business casual in office, and business professional in front of customers

Physical Requirements

  • Be able to sit for long periods of time without issues
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time while giving presentations
  • Extensive use of hands and fingers for typing, handling baggage, and paperwork
  • Extensive use of eyes for reviewing contracts and data on a computer screen
