Our Human Health Division maintains a “patient first, profits later” ideology. We offer a diverse and pivotal role working closely with all members of our Portuguese organization. We are looking for an Access & Pricing Junior Specialist who will play a crucial role on delivering patient access to innovative therapies, working in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to design, select and implement strategies that enable our company to meet its strategic and business goals.
Operationally, will manage P&R and Tendering activities, prepare and develop reimbursement dossiers and supporting documentation (clinical added value, pricing, economic value) for health authorities and payers. The selected candidate will report to the Associate Director, Access & Value Lead.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Pricing and tender responsibilities, including its management and coordination.
- Create innovative contracting opportunities and development of customer and target-oriented access models.
- Through long term analysis of the market, support the implementation of price and reimbursement strategies that will ensure competitive positioning of our drugs, throughout their whole life cycle.
- Develop and implement value propositions in the designated therapeutic areas.
- Through analysis of the therapeutic value of our innovative drugs vs. their expected impact on the health budget, propose price and reimbursement modalities that will allow fair pricing and favorable reimbursement conditions for the patients who need them.
- Identify data gaps and prepare and executes the necessary outcome research data to support therapeutic areas during it’s life cycle.
- Understand and use several sorts of information, such as medical, epidemiological and economic to prepare documents to support the value proposition of our products and support interactions with the various stakeholders in the reimbursement and access processes at national and hospital levels.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration, ensuring access integration into brand team priorities.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional and international colleagues to ensure alignment on market access strategies, coordinate local actions and ensure the collection and analysis of useful data.
Your profile:
- Master degree in Health/Science/Economics or similar.
- Previous experience in similar functions, namely experience in reimbursement management, pricing, and pharmacoeconomics, with good knowledge of processes/rules/regulation in Portugal.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical business and related healthcare policies.
- Fluent in English (Written and spoken).
- Enjoys working in a collaborative context and demonstrates strong team spirit.
- Acts with ethics and integrity being a role model for the entire company.
- High tenacity and resilient profile with the ability to deliver in a constrained environment.
- Analytical Skills, accuracy and problem-solving approach.
- Be self-motivated, proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task while delivering high quality work.
- Able to manage their own work, with ability to prioritize, plan and organize work assignments of the team while working under strict timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, and comfortable working closely with senior leaders in an organization.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including excel.
