A CV (Continuous Vulcanization) line is a cable production process where insulation is applied and cured in a continuous, high-speed operation. Because the line runs for extended periods to produce large volumes, any downtime is extremely costly and time-consuming to recover from—making efficiency and quick problem-solving critical to success.

In this role, prior cable experience is not required. However, success in this position requires comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment where you are actively involved on the production floor, making real-time decisions, troubleshooting issues, and leading a team to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Communicate and administer Prysmian Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure a safe work environment at all times
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
  • Coordinate between different groups such as logistics and maintenance
  • Resolve conflicts on the shop floor
  • Perform necessary clerical activities such as time or record keeping
  • Drive quality and cost saving initiatives
  • Guide, mentor, and lead shop floor associates

Expectations

  • Hands-on leadership style – lead by example, comfortable working on the floor and supporting operators directly (not a desk-based role)
  • Abide by all rules and procedures
  • Treat all employees with respect and consistency
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Make safety first priority
  • Meet or exceed cost saving or quality goals set for the process area
  • Ability to use measuring equipment –including but not limited to OD tapes, calibers, micrometers

Experience

  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience required (production environment)
  • Leadership/supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • High School/GED Diploma required
  • First responders training education and/or Hazardous Waste Training is a plus
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude – able to learn and understand how production lines operate
  • Quick learner with strong troubleshooting ability – able to assess and stabilize issues in real time, especially on nights

Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:

  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
