Your Role: Barrel Room Operator

This is an independent role with accountability and purpose—the only operator on shift, responsible for cheese handling processes that keep our production lines running. You’ll manage cheese supply, rework, and CB1 for processing areas working from both written and verbal instructions—with minimal supervision. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and SAP/computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Production

• Review schedules for changeovers and plan tie-outs
• Supply and scan approx. 10 barrels per hour to process conveyors
• Operate barrel dumper & turner
• Stage & dump 6–8 CB1 barrels/hr in Liquid Process area
• Manage rework handling processes
• Assist Supervisor as needed

Sanitation

• Execute full sanitation procedures as required
• Perform thorough daily cleanup and maintain housekeeping standards

Quality

• Ensure correct cheese type by formula at all times
• Use SAP system for material traceability
• Inspect cheese for mold/foreign particles
• Follow GMPs, Daily Housekeeping, and QRMP Quality Systems

Safety

• Follow all general safety rules & LO/TO procedures
• Inspect Lift Truck before each shift
• Complete HACCP and BOS scans as required
• Always refer to Kraft Heinz standards and guidelines

Physical & Work Conditions

• Lifting: 22–25 lb empty cheese barrels; pushing CB1 barrels on skate conveyor
• Environment: Moderate temps, potential wet/slippery surfaces during clean-ups
• Training: Full competency expected after 3 weeks
