POSITION SUMMARY


The Five Points Taproom Events Manager leads all aspects of daily operations, team development, guest experiences and the successful transition to a Brewpub model, while fostering a safe, efficient and hospitality-focused environment. In partnership with the Director of Taproom Operations, the Taproom Manager oversees financial performance and supports strategic business initiatives. Additionally, this role drives traffic and revenue through the creation and execution of community events and marketing initiatives across the Five Points and Sloan’s Lake taprooms. 


The ideal candidate manages this business like an owner, is a collaborator, yet independently challenges status quo to elevate our taproom and guest experience.


Position Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday with availability to work nights and weekend shifts


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management for taproom co-workers

  • Build an inclusive, engaged team culture rooted in hospitality, product knowledge, and company values

  • Maintain active floor presence during peak business periods, including nights, weekends, and special events

  • Support operational change management, including Brewpub transition, food and wine service, and health compliance

  • Approve timecards and ensure consistent team accountability

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily taproom operations, including POS/menu updates, cash handling, inventory, ordering, transfers, and vendor coordination

  • Maintain beer quality, food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all health, safety, and legal standards

  • Ensure clear communication across teams through regular meetings, daily updates, and leadership collaboration

  • Manage facilities, service providers, and overall taproom functionality

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality that strengthens brand loyalty and community connection

  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment while managing guest concerns, service standards, and overall ambiance

Denver Sales, Events & Marketing 

  • Drive volume and revenue growth through uniquely curated community events for the Five Points and Sloan’s Lake taprooms

  • Acts as the point person for private rentals at the Five Points taproom

  • Manage & communicate event execution, staffing logistics, and guest experience for rentals and special programming

  • Creates point of sale marketing assets for Denver events 

  • Posts event assets to Eventbrite 

  • Coordinates with Social Media coordinators within Denver taprooms to promote upcoming events 

  • Partner with Marketing, Outreach, and Production teams to support releases, promotions, charitable efforts, and brand storytelling

Financial Performance & Strategic Growth

  • Manage budgets, P&L performance, margin goals, and daily financial reconciliation

  • Analyze business trends to improve sales, operational efficiency, and profitability

  • Contribute strategic ideas and process improvements that support long-term business growth, Brewpub success, and evolving guest needs

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • 2 yrs minimum bar/restaurant management experience

  • 2 yrs minimum experience creating marketing assets 

  • Brewery / retail management experience to include purchasing, inventory controls, marketing, budgetary controls, leadership and process improvement

  • TIPS certification (or equivalent) required or acquired within 3 months of hire

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Google Suite and Canva preferred

  • Experience with strategic planning, verbal communication, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability and quality focus

  • Must be available to work high volume shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to work long hours on your feet

  • Ability to move and/or lift up to 75lbs

  • Ability to remain focused and level-headed under demanding situations

COMPENSATION 

The pay rate for this position is a salary range of $58,000 - $65,000


Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
