Description

Summary:

This role involves the fabrication and welding of primarily stainless steel components and assemblies to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have MIG and TIG welding experience and the ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG/TIG welding on primarily stainless steel materials, including sheet, plate, screens, pipe, and tubing.
Fabricate stainless steel components and assemblies according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Measure, cut, fit, and tack weld parts with precision.
Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
Grind, polish, and finish stainless steel surfaces to required appearance.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support production and shop operations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of steel MIG/TIG welding and fabrication experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Knowledge of welding techniques and finishing processes.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and deliver high-quality, aesthetic welds.
Skilled in using fabrication tools such as saws, shears, brakes, grinders, and polishing equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs and perform physical tasks required in fabrication and welding.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Ability to certify to ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1.
