Work Schedule:

  • Sun-Weds: 7:30PM-6:00AM
  • Some weekends and overtime available

Responsibilities

  • 1st Responsibility – Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your coworkers.
  • Use sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.
  • Perform die modifications and repair for surface quality and accuracy.
  • Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies, and progressive dies.
  • Use hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies and to repair and modify gauges, jigs, and dies.
  • Perform welding, grinding, operate cranes, machining, & fabrication.
  • Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications.
  • Perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.
  • Shim sharpen existing dies.
  • Work with forming dies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience building and/or maintaining high volume stamping dies, welding ability, spotting ability and hand finishing skills.
  • Knowledge of cutting and forming sheet metal stamping operation.
  • Strong machine tool operations and mechanical knowledge required.
  • Education and certifications preferred but not required.
