Nature and Scope:

Responsible for the testing of Sun Hydraulics high-performance cartridge valves through documented test procedures. This individual will utilize manual and/or automatic test stands that test the functionality of the valves and verify adherence to engineering specification.

Responsibilities:

• Learning and testing cartridge valves to then be shipped to customers around the globe while developing knowledge of Sun Hydraulics product lines
• Performs basic testing procedure of different products that is learned through on the job training
• Daily preventative maintenance of test stand which includes checking oil levels, changing filters, checking connections for leaks, and housekeeping of working area
• Communicating issues from shift to shift to team members and their supervisors
• Team player mentality when accomplishing work goals such as passing vital information over the next shift
• Top performers given larger responsibility set such as training new employees
• Develop knowledge of Sun Hydraulics product lines

Required Qualifications and Desired Qualities:

• Willingness to learn and grow through Sun Hydraulics
• Basic mechanical knowledge which includes car maintenance, utilizing basic hand tools, or tightening fittings
• Proactive attitude when completing tasks to move onto the next task helping the team meet daily goals
• Positive attitude toward accomplishing work metrics
• Meeting commitments and obligations to organization such as coming to work on time, communicating issues from shift to shift through their organization and to their supervisors

• Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Car maintenance experience is a plus
• Manufacturing experience is a plus

• Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing/sitting (6-8 hours)
• Ability to lift 35 pounds at times
