Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Associates are expected to work as a team to complete all duties during the shift. Associates are expected to be able and willing to follow all supervisor requests (operate a press, janitorial duties, clean workstation, secondary, etc.)

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

H.S. diploma or G.E.D. preferred; must be able to read, write, and understand English and do arithmetic

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate injection Presses

- Produce Quality components

- Meet or exceed production standards

- Follow Safe work practices

- Meet or exceed production standards

- Report to work on time
- Report to work area on time
- Assist with Assembly of parts
- Return from break and lunch on time
- Remove old labels from all returnable packaging
- Package parts that are produced
- Label finished goods containers with proper I.D. codes
- Keep workstation clean and organized throughout shift, leaving no parts on floor
- Read, understand and follow all written instructions for daily job assignment
- Have a working knowledge of parts produced
- Inspect parts produced for defects
- Follow all other shop rules, procedures, and policies
- Have a working knowledge of plant operations
- Follow all supervisors' reasonable requests
- Do what is needed to get the job done
- Repack production parts from subcontractors products to customer satisfaction
- Run relief when required
- Any and or all duties may be updated or changed at any time by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job requires standing for long periods of time and sometimes includes walking. Requires verbal communication, observation, and using hands or fingers to handle, feel, and reach.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working environment consists of working near moving mechanical parts, near fumes and airborne particles, and sometimes in extreme heat. Working environment is loud and sometimes consists of vibration. Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
