Job Description
As our Maintenance Technician, you will be a part of our fantastic Facilities team and will be responsible for making sure the factory’s premises and equipment are in great shape and in top working order. You will use your skills to carry out extensive and continuous maintenance work on machinery, including repairing broken structures and devices. You’ll follow diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, and federal, state and local city codes in maintaining, fixing, and troubleshooting our plant equipment and machines. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting – you’ll be diagnosing the problem and resolving it as quickly as possible!

Here are some examples of job duties:
- Operate mechanical tools and equipment as required to fabricate or repair industrial parts and equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment, primary wiring, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, or other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause analysis, in partnership with Operations, to solve problems and make improvements.
- Provide support for start-up and installation of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications.
- Interpret and reviews loops sheets, electrical schematics, P&IDs, I/O writing, and panel drawings.
- Respond to site equipment and process alarms; troubleshoot and make repairs.
- Maintain prints and records.
- Prepare and complete written communications in strict compliance with all requirements.
- Participate and lead in the instruction/training of new maintenance personnel.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform assigned duties with a high degree of proficiency and mindfulness of personal safety and that of those around you.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent trade school degree/certifications, experience may be substituted for education at the discretion of Plant management
- Must be willing and able to train and mentor other team members
- Prior work experience as a high-level mechanical and electrical maintenance technician
- Must have welding and fabricating experience
- Proficient in operating computerized and non-computerized machines
- Proven talent in troubleshooting, assessing, and repairing equipment
- Must be able to prioritize workloads
- Should have a very high degree of self-motivation
- Must be able to lift medium to heavy objects and to perform physical activities to use, service, and install new parts in machines. This includes prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Must have mathematical and computer skills
- Must be willing to work overtime or outside of normal schedule to meet the needs of the facility.
