We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our corrugated manufacturing operation. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability and performance of high-speed converting equipment during production hours.
This position is well-suited for a technician who is technically strong, self-directed, and comfortable troubleshooting complex equipment with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair corrugating and converting equipment including:
- Flexo folder gluers, die cutters, printers, stackers, and conveyors
- Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics on motors, drives, sensors, VFDs, gearboxes, chains, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Support production by responding to breakdowns, minimizing downtime, and restoring equipment safely and efficiently
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM documentation
- Assist with machine startups, changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Accurately document work performed and communicate issues during shift handoff
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and lockout/tagout compliance
Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance experience in a corrugated or paper-based manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480V, control circuits, sensors, VFDs)
- Solid mechanical background, including rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley preferred, programming a plus)
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during 3rd shift operations
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required
