Essential Functions of Role:
This is “hands on” non production operation role.
- Meeting USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards, and under the supervision of the Plant Engineer the functions of this role are to be responsible for the overall maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities within specified departmental budget. Responsible for efficient and safe working habits of all departmental employees, responsible for overall compliance, and all regulatory standards of all applicable agencies.
ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Develop and maintain a preventative/predictive maintenance program for all plant equipment that keeps all equipment running at safely, at a specified uptime level, and within departmental budget.
- Develop and maintain a maintenance/refrigeration specific safety program that promotes employee involvement.
- Maintain parts inventory sufficient to keep plant running at a specified mechanical uptime level within specified budget.
- Develop and maintain a departmental operating budget.
- Develop and maintain PSM/RPM program to O.S.H.A. standards.
- Supervise, assist, coach, and counsel departmental employees to maintain an acceptable level of maintenance support for the company.
- Develop positive working relationships with suppliers to assure plant operation within specified budget.
- Assist Plant Engineer with project planning and implementation.
- Manage contracted projects from start to finish.
- Participation in HAZMAT
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Business Management or Minimum 5 years experience in Maintenance Management.
- Journeyman or Accredited Certification in Machine Repair or 5 years experience in Machine repair.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Strong electrical background would be a plus.
- Ability to work with all levels of management to build a team environment.
