 The 3PM Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring full availability and optimal stock coverage of finished goods of Beiersdorf products produced by 3rd Party Manufacturers (3PMs) for the North American affiliate and designated international markets, while meeting the key performance indicators as determined in the respective service agreements.



  • Manage the monthly purchasing process of finished goods sourced from 3PMs within the parameters of MOQ, MPQ, lead times, etc among our warehouses in both the US and CA.
  • Lead weekly/monthly meetings with each 3PM suppliers reviewing production and delivery plans, set priorities, escalate out of stock risks and potential bottleneck.  3PM Suppliers are located in various time zones.
  • Product portfolio will consist of multiple brands within each of the brand product units.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for 3PMs in case of raw and packaging delays, escalation and communication with suppliers and Beiersdorf Procurement teams

  • Define SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) with new 3PMs, continually review and improve SOP with existing 3PMs.  Define best supply chain concepts for new and existing 3PMs.
  • Focus on service levels, inventories and costs in alignment with corporate objectives to drive sales and profits
  • Take ownership of the product portfolio including excess and obsolete inventory, cycle stock, safety stock, out of stock and portfolio performance.
  • Expertly balance out supply with demand to ensure efficiency in inventory investment.
  • Mitigate and find solutions to supply issues that arise for various reasons including overselling and production concerns or delays. 
  • Support the launch and re-launch of new products to meet ship dates while avoiding out of stocks.
  • Support and coordinate the supply of finished goods used for promotional programs.
  • Establish strong relationships with peers and work cross-functionally with demand planning, new products team, master data team, customer service, and marketing counterparts.
  • Participate in weekly and/or monthly meetings as needed to support the product portfolio.
  • Accurately maintain all master data related to optimal supply planning performance.
  • Identify and drive supply chain and systemic improvements to reduce supply chain costs, to drive efficiencies, and to drive continuous improvements.
  • Take the initiative to identify, lead, and establish continuous improvement practices that improve supply chain and company performance.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience working in direct operations planning, 3PM supplier planning or equivalent experience, ideally in Consumer Packaging Goods industry
  • Working knowledge of inventory management principles, supply planning, operations planning and supply chain management.
  • Strong excel, MS word, and project skills plus experience utilizing ERP software such as SAP, APO and Business Intelligence
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent and effective follow-up skills
  • Detail oriented and well-organized approach to managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; exercise good judgment and decision making
  • Travel: 10% travel expected
