ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determines work procedures, prepares work allocation, and expedites workflow.
- Responds to all communication delivered from the supported departments.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Confers with other managers in the warehouse to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management and quality assurance.
- Identifies employees’ skills and develops them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis.
- Demonstrates strong fiscal/budget management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the associates in Material Handling
- Responsibilities include, coaching, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing issues, and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a warehouse environment and combination of training, education, and experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 (five) years logistics/warehouse experience required.
- A minimum of 3 (three) years supervisory experience required.
- Ability to accomplish assigned projects utilizing excellent communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to perform high quality work within assigned deadlines.
- Ability to think strategically and be able to focus on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.
- Ability to provide service with integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to streamline processes through necessary skill sets.
- Regular, timely attendance.
- Strong ability to work well in a variety of team environments
