SUMMARY

The Plate Saw Operator is responsible for cutting, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station.
Mark materials with identifying information.
Retrieves material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Must remain in a stationary or standing position for prolonged periods of time.
Perform data entry using a computer.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least 1 year of experience working in an industrial setting.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or G.E.D

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Fork-lift experience preferred or ability to become certified in fork-lift operation.
Ability to read tape measure and calipers
Ability to comprehend decimals and fractions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Remains in a stationary, standing, or walking position for the length of the shift.
Lifts, moves, or positions materials weighing up to 50lbs.
