Job Description:

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum three to five years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic within a production environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems required.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following Company standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and on call.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Utilize tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
  • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Paint and repair windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures
  • The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements

Skills\Knowledge Preferred:

  • Measuring and Gauging Devices: Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to use multimeters, voltage testers, amp meters, and other testing devices.
  • Ability to install and maintain motors, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.
  • Ability to assemble, install, alter, and repair pipe systems
  • Ability to use hand power tools applicable to job function.
  • Experience in mig and tig welding a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronics and electrical controls and circuits, AC and DC drives.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with operations associates and support groups.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Ability to bend, install conduit, tubing for new or modification of existing runs.
  • Basic knowledge of lock out tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Education\Experience Preferred:

  • AAS degree in Electro/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • One year diploma/certificate or completed equivalent electronics training during military service will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or repair small parts, wiring, electrical, etc from various types of machinery or devices.
  • Stooping, bending, and moving about plant.
