Job Overview:

Emerson is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team in Rainsville, Alabama. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations. You will maintain equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement efforts. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values safety, and takes pride in supporting smooth and efficient operations.

  • 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3:30pm to Midnight, subject to change as we are establishing the 2nd shift schedule.
  • Starting rate: $21.19 to $23.43 depends on experienc
  • $2 per hour shift pay  
  • Overtime could be required to support manufacturing schedule

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Disassemble, repair, and replace electrical and mechanical components such as circuit boards, controls, sensors, solenoids, and servo systems
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to identify and address wear, damage, or material fatigue
  • Train machine operators on basic preventative maintenance tasks, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments
  • Collect and track preventative maintenance data using charts and graphs
  • Support and participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform general maintenance for the facility, both interior and exterior
  • Assist with physical inventory processes as needed
  • Safely operate forklifts and other equipment
  • Contribute to safety programs and initiatives
  • Maintain organization standards aligned with 6S and Lean principles
  • Adapt to additional duties as business needs evolve

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and instructions
  • Capability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive hand movements
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided

 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience working with preventative maintenance systems or tracking tools
  • Forklift operation experience
