Description

Essential functions and responsibilities -

  1. Install and maintain all plant equipment and facilities of both a mechanical and electrical nature
  2. Maintain & repair hydraulics/pneumatics & power transmissions systems incl. gearboxes, bearing assemblies & alignments
  3. Perform normal maintenance, mechanical and electrical craft-type duties, correct breakdowns to unplanned interruptions
  4. Layout, fit and assemble parts, when necessary, read blueprints and machine schematics as needed
  5. Layout, install and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment such as automatic controls, etc.
  6. Diagnose and remedy electrical trouble
  7. Operate personal computers, microprocessors, and programmable controls relative to production equipment
  8. Set up and operate all maintenance equipment
  9. Basic torch cutting and arc welding as needed
  10. Basic plumbing including pump repair and piping systems

Qualifications


Qualifications required -

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment
  3. Vocational Technical certification in electrical, mechanical, machining trade or equivalent experience
  4. Must provide own hand tools sufficient to carry out assigned duties
  5. Minimum 4 years’ maintenance experience in an industrial setting
  6. Requires ability to operate forklift, powered transport, and material handling equipment
  7. Must possess working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
  8. Ability to set up and operate typical maintenance shop machinery.
  9. Must possess working knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems and their components

Qualifications desired –

  1. 10 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  2. Ability to work from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
  3. Ability to install and check electronic controls and circuits
