Job Overview:

United Performance Metal's rapidly growing Advanced Solutions Center is looking to add a Machine Operator to their 2nd shift team. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

**Starting Wage: $23 - $25, depending on experience **

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am

Location: Hamilton, OH, On-site

~~ $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90-days~~

As a Machine Operator, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on customer manufacturing specifications to create machine programming
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate machinery such as Haas 3-axis Mills, EDM Wire Cutters, VTLs, and more, according to strict tolerances.
  • Examine and measure completed units, identifying defects and ensuring adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors
  • Exercise strong problem-solving ability for the inspection and repair of machinery
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience for Success:

  • 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools, and machines

  • Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc.

  • Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches

  • Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining

  • Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments

You should be proficient in:

  • CNC Programming
  • Machine Safety Inspections
  • Machine Setups for Production Runs
  • Troubleshooting CNC Machines
  • Manual Machining Skills
  • High School / GED
  • Shop Math Skills
