Description
The Maintenance Technician will support and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing operation. The specific equipment will vary and can include CNC milling, X-ray, leak testers, robotics, air compressors, dryers, chillers, sensors, overhead cranes, etc. This position is responsible for maintaining all equipment to satisfy manufacturing and engineering needs.
What You'll Do:
- Observe devices in operation to locate root cause of problem
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Repair and/or replace defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; test for electrical and hydraulic circuitry and mechanical systems; order supplies and repair items as necessary
- Support continuous improvement of the PM work instructions; adding, removing, defining these instructions and express improvements suggested to the Maintenance Manager
- Engage in proactive maintenance activities that include repairing air leaks, oil leaks, replacing components, continuous improvement activities, project work, and minor repairs to equipment
- Perform Lockout/Tag out procedures for equipment
- Lay out, wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and/or other machinery
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' related experience in the maintenance of CNC Machining operation
- Experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Electrical background plus mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Knowledge of Toyoda, Hydraulics, standard mechanical functions, overhead cranes; plant air systems; hot oil heating units; manipulation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
- Ability to work in high heat temperatures on a regular basis
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 55 pounds regularly
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and complete visual inspections
