We are looking for an 2nd Shift Brake Press Set-up Operator to support our team at our corporate location in Independence, KY.
SUMMARY:
Set up and operate Press Brakes; Mechanical, Amada, E-Brakes, and set/up and operate the Whitney Punch, as well as Uni-Punch. Process parts to production schedule necessary, to fulfill customer requirements. Monitor parts and machine to assure pieces are being produced to shop print specifications, and monitor correct and safe function of the machine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in a safe and productive manner.
- Ability to read required measuring instruments, i.e.… calipers, protractor, tape measure.
- Ability to interpret /understand shop prints.
- Determine necessary tooling and sequencing needed to form given piece-part, as-well-as, set chosen tooling into machine to operate safely, and accurately.
- Quality inspection of piece part throughout run required, as-well-as, adherence to hourly production rates set forth by the company.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Offer suggestions to better the department to enhance through/put or quality.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Vocational school (A. A.) or equivalent, or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
