Job Overview:

Facilitates end-to-end payment processing as it relates to oil, gas, and mineral leases, surface leases, and rights-of-way terms and obligations in order to maintain company assets.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and interprets terms and conditions of oil and gas rentals relating to company’s assets.
  • Documents, monitors, and maintains necessary rental information and associated date sensitive obligations.
  • Identifies and reports actual rental holdings of company.
  • Reviews, monitors, and prepares Rental Recommendations for payment, taking appropriate action to maintain asset base.
  • Manages wire transfers and check runs with accuracy and strict adherence to payment terms.
  • Communicates with state and federal agencies regarding company assets.
  • Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years minimum lease/rental analysis experience, preferably with producing properties, with working knowledge of new and changing technology, statutes, rules, regulations, and legislative issues affecting the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision. Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and oil and gas related land software. Preferred: Quorum and SAP

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college, or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
