Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY – Create and support programs for production machines such as five axis CNC mills to match a print. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT— Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Read blueprints
• Work within a CAD software
• Program using offline software such as Master CAM or Esprit
• Load programs and set up tools in a machine
• Select proper tools for machining parts
• Use and understand gaging

SKILLS & ABILITIES
o Understanding of CAD/CAM Software
o Ability to set up CNC machines
o Minimum of three axis programming; five axis is a plus
o Ability to look at a GD&T print to determine the tooling needed
o Ability to program computer numerical control (CNC) milling and turning machines using ISO/EIA “G & M” code programming
o Understanding of how to manually edit programs
o Troubleshooting abilities

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Two year AAS Degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of two years of related on the job training
Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; understanding of Master Cam, Virtual Gibs, Solid Works, etc. preferred
Certificates & Licenses: CNC programming certification preferred; Valid driver’s license required
Other Requirements: Ability to be on call in case of problems outside normal work hours
