SCOPE OF POSITION:

Purchases materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization, while optimizing the material supply impact on the customer experience.

• Qualifies suppliers, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services.  Completes PO's within ERP system and releases to supplers.
• Tracks PO life cycle, monitors supplier quality, and maintains supplier data within ERP.
• Develops and executes supply planning activities according to customer and business demand signals.
• Develops or possesses subject matter expertise to assist supply chain team on best practices and improvement opportunities
• Proactively communicates with peers and cross functional departments as necessary to support business activities, i.e. supplier timeliness.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics experience

• Professional certifications, such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are a plus.

• Latest generation ERP (SAP or Oracle strongly preferred)

• Demonstrated Forecasting experience

• Demonstrated experience reducing cost or improving efficiency

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook required)

• Experience with exporting, importing and customs brokerage preferred
