Performs test setup and tests equipment to required specifications; documents test results; trouble-shoots test articles and lab equipment, in charge of lab maintenance and repair.

  • Works under direct supervision of Aire Lab Lead
  • Performs general test setups and some minor fabrication skills to conduct testing of air-conditioning equipment.
  • Conducts tests and generates reports on new product testing and participates in the design and evaluation of current products.
  • Reports product testing results from lab and maintains a record keeping system.
  • Maintains daily log of lab activities and reports these activities on a monthly basis.
  • Assists Production with product testing (as needed or available).
  • Performs overall lab maintenance, repair and calibration.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED
  • Preferred to have at least an associates degree or certificate from a recognized HVAC program
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Must have basic computer skills (basic PC document filing system, Excel spreadsheets, and Word documents, Outlook, LabView/NI Max).
  • Desirable to have HVAC field experience or direct manufacturing and trouble-shooting experience of refrigerant based and chilled water cooled air-conditioning equipment.
