Job Description

Pine Ridge has been dedicated to crafting wines of substance for over 40 years.   Blending the restraint and tradition of Bordeaux with the vibrancy of California results in our classically proportioned Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines that truly express their origins. Located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, Pine Ridge Vineyards is comprised of 10 estate vineyards in Napa's best AVAs. We focus on crafting luxury Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, Rutherford, Oakville, Stags Leap, Carneros and Napa Valley as a whole.

Lab/Crush Help
 We are seeking self-motivated individuals for the upcoming harvest. The job entails, but is not limited to: 

• Vineyard sampling and grape analysis (Brix, pH and titratable acidity)
• Monitoring fermentations, checking daily brix and temperatures
• Daily set-up and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Barrel and tank sampling
• Analysis of juice and wine lots (including brix, pH/TA, turbidity, free and total SO2, alcohol, enzymatic assays including glucose/fructose, malic acid, acetic acid and YAN, and phenolic measurements)
• Entering daily analysis results in winemaking database and Excel spreadsheets
• Set-up of wine trials as requested
• Cellar work as requested

 Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work long hours including weekends. The position is seasonal, and the anticipated start time is mid-August through November. 
 
Experience is preferred; we are interested in a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
