Overview

NW Industrial Staffing is seeking Iron Workers and Carpenters for a large construction firm that specializes in commercial, industrial, and pre-engineered metal buildings. This is a long-term position with a great company that has an unwavering commitment to quality, service, and safety in all projects.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Assemble and erect steel frames, columns, and beams according to project plans.
• Utilize cranes and other lifting equipment to position steel components accurately.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed during the erection process.
• Collaborate with other construction team members to complete projects on time.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to maintain quality standards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Steel Construction preferred.
• Good Construction and carpentry background
• Great measuring and fitting skills, including the use of levels, lasers, tape measures, speed squares, and plumb bobs.
• Proven experience as an iron worker or steel frame erector.
• Comfortable with heights and using cranes, lifts, forklifts, and rigging and harnessing equipment for erecting steel frames, installing roofing systems, siding, trim, insulation, and vapor barriers.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools related to steel erection.
• Previous experience with on-site fabrication, including cutting, drilling, grinding, and welding.
• Safety training and OSHA 10 experience are preferred.
• Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

JOB DETAILS:

• Location: Eugene, OR
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 7 AM to 3:30 PM, but can vary.
• Wages: $24/h to $36/h (DOE)
