The 1st Shift Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse during the first shift. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of inventory, staff, and logistics to achieve our distribution goals. As the 1st Shift Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing warehouse processes, enhancing team performance, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Your ability to manage and motivate a diverse team, implement effective strategies, and uphold high standards of safety and efficiency are paramount.


Work Status: Full Time

Salary: 50k-60k (Depending on experience) 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:00pm, with mandatory Sundays 4-6 times a year for inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB

  • Quality Control - Responsible for following Champion Brands Quality Control policies and procedures. Consistently demonstrates high attention to detail and shows concerns for all aspects of the position and accurately checks processes and tasks.
  • Cost Management – Manages and maintains company equipment and resources to reduce unnecessary spending and damaged or lost assets.
  • Communication & Collaboration – Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to relay and receive any necessary job information. Works effectively with others to meet goals and satisfy objectives; develops and maintains strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Planning & Time Management - Maintains a high level of energy and commitment. Uses available resources to manage multiple tasks at once without losing focus. Works with a sense of urgency to complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supervise Warehouse Staff - Lead, train, and manage a team of warehouse associates to ensure productivity and adherence to company policies.
  • Safety Compliance - Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Problem Solving - Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, staffing, or logistics in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Reliable automobile transportation
  • Forklift Certified
  • 2-3 years of warehouse experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of management experience
  • 2-3 years of WMS software experience
  • Associate’s degree
