The CNC Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager, they will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance; identifying potential issues that could interrupt machine uptime, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of various equipment used within the manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain the CNC equipment using a “Predictive/Preventive Maintenance Program”, Minimize unplanned downtime
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of various types of machine tools – CNC and conventional machines, part washers, air benches, recyclers and other various production equipment
- Record completion of work orders by documenting in detail the steps taken, parts installed and repairs performed on all equipment utilizing a CMMS
- Execute other tasks as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a machine maintenance technician
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read and use blue prints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and other related technical documentation to assist in diagnosis and repair
- Must possess good communication skills
- Experience operating a fork lift (preferred)
- Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new procedures
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license
- Must be able to lift or move objects up to 40lbs
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of operation and repair of at least one of the following : Haas, Mazak or Matsuura machine tools
- Experience participating on a Safety Committee and/or Emergency Response Team (ERT) Preferred
